Company History

After working in the insurance restoration industry for 15 years, Gary Moore decided to follow his passion and start his own environmental remediation company.  With a business plan in hand, Gary met with several different banks to secure a loan to fund his new venture. Instead of walking away with a small business loan, Gary was advised to come back when he had an established business. Undeterred, Gary took out an equity line of credit on his home, and in 1989, American Technologies, Inc. was born. The company consisted of a three-person staff in a small office and warehouse in Orange, California.

With more than twenty-nine years of experience, ATI is a national leader in restoration, environmental remediation and reconstruction.   We are proud to be the nation’s largest family-owned restoration contractor.   We have over 1000 full-time employees and 20 offices around the country. 

The services we provide are only as good as the employees who perform them. To ensure superior results on every job, our human resources team actively recruits highly experienced professionals and top collegiate prospects to join our staff. All new recruits complete rigorous in-house training programs, and our project directors, project managers and technicians are known throughout the industry to be the most capable and technically savvy. Our Executive Management Team has extensive experience in the restoration and insurance industry.  Many of them have been with ATI for over twenty years.  We consider our long tenured staff to be one of our best assets.  It’s proof that our organization and our culture are the best in the industry.

Our Corporate Headquarters are located in Orange, CA and the company is comprised of two major divisions: Environmental and Restoration/Reconstruction Services. Within these divisions, we provide comprehensive recovery services to address environmental hazards; mitigate damage following natural and man-made disasters; and to fully restore built structures and their contents.
